Our Purpose
The mission of Memphis Barbeque Supply is to be your one-stop shop for all your barbeque and grilling needs. Our goals are to:

  • Provide the competition cook with the grilling equipment and tools needed to move to the next level.
  • Help the backyard chef cook the best food for family and friends.
  • Offer advice to help every customer grill better.

We have searched across the United States and North America to bring you the highest quality grills, smokers, accessories and barbeque equipment. We stock a HUGE variety of barbeque rubs and sauces that highlight the different barbeque regions across the United States - from Memphis to the Carolinas, Kansas City, Texas, and beyond. We also feature the very best that Memphis has to offer!

Why Memphis Barbeque Supply
The founders of Memphis Barbeque Supply saw a need in the Memphis area for a one-stop barbeque supply store. As both backyard chefs and competition cooks, we were purchasing the grilling equipment, tools, and ingredients we needed from a multitude of different local stores, and from the Internet. Time that could be spent prepping food for competition or sitting around the grill in our own backyards was wasted driving all over town. We knew there had to be a better way. While waiting for awards for the 2013 Memphis in May World Championship Barbeque Cooking Festival, teammates Jimmy Shotwell, Chris West and Will Hampton decided it was time to end the frustration! Memphis Barbeque Supply was born!

The Team
Jimmy Shotwell has been a Memphis in May and Kansas City Barbeque Society competition cook for over 15 years. Jimmy has competed in contests and won awards in contests across the Mid-South. As a certified KCBS judge for the past decade, Jimmy has spent time on both sides of the smoker. His knowledge is available to help all outdoor chefs achieve their goals. For the past four years, Jimmy has been a featured guest on WREC 600am in Memphis. As the "Tailgate Guru" for Memphis Morning News, Jimmy discussed tailgating, grilling methods, and shared recipes with host Forrest Goodman.

Will Hampton has been Jimmy’s right-hand man from the beginning. After meeting in college, Will has cooked beside Jimmy at dozens of backyard gatherings, tailgates, and competitions. Aside from helping stoke the fires, Will has always been in charge of scouring the Internet for better ways to grill, the newest barbeque gadgets, and new recipes for the team.

Chris West joined the cooking scene while working with the Memphis in May team, P-Funk and the Fat Back All-stars, for the last eight years. Chris is the showman of the group. Always the one to greet the judges and get them ready to meet to the cooks. Jimmy, Will, and Chris finally came together in 2009 when Jimmy and Will took charge of the cooking duties for Chris's team.
